Sorry I've been out of touch for a few days. The honest truth is I haven't been doing anything exciting lately that's worth writing about. I'm still reminiscing about my fun time at Wanch - what an awful name! - (the live music place) on Saturday, but I was paying for it dearly on Sunday. I am out of 'drinking' shape! That and I wasn't calling my vodka, so I'm sure they gave me the 'ol White Wolf.Anyway, I'm desperately scrambling to make plans for Chinese New Year. It looks like I'll be heading over to Macau (read: the Vegas of Asia). The office will be pretty empty even after the holiday so hopefully I'll get some time to explore. At the end of this week, I will have been here a month already. Can you believe it? If not, maybe Bali? Everyone says I should go. Actually, everyone except Adam says I should go. :) And probably my Mom as soon as she figures out what Bali is all about.
Anyway, I can take a boat over there and I have a lead on a fairly cheap hotel room. I'm drooling over the prospect of playing the "nickel" slots - or whatever the equivalent there is - because it would only cost me about $.006 per play. Yea! That's less than a penny! The reality is that I should be careful about gambling because I'm still not very good with converting the currency in my head.

I liked your link to wikipedia about Bali; sounds fun! You are pretty adventurous and brave to go to all these new places by yourself! Good luck gambling, although it sounds like a mega jackpot in their currency could actually only be $10!!!

Go to Bali as a Swiss expat - they may not blow you up there. For those of you who don't know where Bali is its part of Indonesia the largest Muslim country on the planet and not very stable politically. Bali was the site of an al Qaeda bombing in a western nightclub frequented by Aussie tourists (Bali is a very popular Aussie vacation spot).
Oh yeah - you're mom called me this morning - Tyson doesn't have to deploy!! And she asked me about Bali (I was like, what do you mean he's thinking about going to Bali?). Everybody LOVED my gift (I wore them to work with my Burberry tie!)
